Boston Globe analysis of more than 750,000 tickets from every police department in the state completed in January 2003, revealed the following patterns:
- Police in Massachusetts write about 1,300 traffic tickets a day.
- The most common tickets are for:
- speeding
- failure to stop
- seat belt violations
- The worst day for tickets:
- The slowest ticketing day of the week:
- The slowest ticketing day of the year:
- Of the larger cities and towns (pop. over 25,000), most traffic tickets per resident were written in:
