As motor vehicle accidents in Boston declined over the past four years, the number of fatal accidents in the city dropped from 23 to 12, according to police. Motor vehicle accidents reported in Boston declined by 216 in 2004 over the previous year and by more than 3,500 when compared to 2000, police said in a statement yesterday.
